Puppet Coach

He was Puppet Coach for Cameron Mackintosh’s West End production ofAvenue Q, the UK Tour and the production for Upstairs at The Gatehouse - also for Kite Productions Anglo in Dublin.   He worked on The Muppets... Most Wanted, the new Muppet movie for The Walt Disney Company andThat Puppet Game Show for BBC 1.

He played the voice of Captain Black and other characters in Gerry Anderson’s animated version of Captain Scarlett, several voices in a pilot for a new animated series for HIT Entertainment. He played Dan in Dan & Dusty for late night ITV and several characters in Disney’s Bunnytown.

He directed television pilots of We Stayed in... with Jungr & Parker,Drivers with Chris Barrie and Harry Enfield, revivals of The Marsh King's DaughterCupid & Psyche and The Secret Garden at The Little Angel Theatre in London and he produced and directed two series of Heggarty and Haggarty, children’s stories featuring George Cole.  He was Animation Director for Jim Henson's Creature Shop on the stage musicalDoctor Doolittle in London and on the UK tour.

He has assisted in the setting up of International versions of Spitting Image in Portugal, Germany and Turkey,  Sesame Street in Russia, Poland, Spain, Germany, Palestine and Israel, and has appeared sporadically over a twenty year period as the long suffering Malcolm for the cold cure Vicks Sinex.

Nigel runs training workshops for puppeteering on Avenue Q based on the workshops he gave the actors of Cameron Mackintosh's West End version and UK tours.  For details please see
